Let the nominations for the 5th Annual Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Awards begin! Like the children’s daisy game “She loves me, She loves me not,” this award asks parents to PICK the best of the best. Macaroni Kid's Gold Daisy Awards recognize the most beloved local businesses for kids and families.
Throughout the year, Macaroni Kid brings you the scoop on all the local family fun. Now it is YOUR turn to tell us YOUR family’s top go-to choices and the businesses that just plain make your life easier as a parent! Who do parents turn to when they want to find the best places to go or the best doctors or the best story times? Other parents! Let’s make this a FUN way to highlight the wonderful local businesses that make Carnation, Duvall, Cottage Lake, Redmond Ridge, Monroe, Sultan, Matlby and Clearview/Cathcart a fabulous place to live, shop, eat, and play!
How Do You Get Started?
From now through February 25th, simply nominate your favorite businesses! Nominate as many or as few businesses as you would like. Businesses must be located in Carnation, Duvall, Redmond Ridge, Cottage Lake, Maltby, Clearview, Monroe, Sultan or in the Sky Valley communities east of Sultan. This is your chance to shout out to all of those awesome, local businesses you go to all the time and that other parents might not know about. Only one submission per email address please; you must be a subscriber to the newsletter to nominate. You can subscribe here.

What's In It For The Businesses?
We will announce the winners of each category in upcoming issues. The winning business in each category will receive free placement in our Business Directory for yearlong recognition in our Macaroni Kid community, inclusion in the newsletter article announcing the winners, a 2021 Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Award certificate to display at their place of business, a "Winner" logo for their website, and the honor of knowing that local families think they are the greatest! And the business/person with the most votes will receive a $500 advertising package from Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid. This has no cash value.

THE SCHEDULE
- Nominations are open from February 11, 2021, until February 25, 2021.
- Starting March 4, 2021, you can vote for the businesses that received the most nominations, only the top 3 businesses will be selected. Voting will close on April 1, 2021
- Winners will be announced on April 8, 2021
RULES
- Submit only one nomination ballot per email address; please nominate businesses in at least five categories.
- To nominate a business you must be a Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid email subscriber and over the age of 18 to nominate and vote. If you are not a subscriber and enter the contest, you will be automatically subscribed. To sign up click here.
- Only the top 3 nominations in each category will be selected for voting.
- Macaroni Kid families will then vote on their favorites and one winner in each category will be selected.
- Macaroni Kid confirms AND validates each email to ensure authenticity. We reserve the right to eliminate votes that are deemed to be invalid or have interfered with the fair administration of this contest.
