Holiday Light Displays & Festivals - Updated for 2016

We have some brilliant holiday light displays, both near and far guaranteed to inspire the Clark Griswold in all of us!  Grab your keys and this list and head out for an evening of family fun.  Do you have a favorite light display in your neighborhood or worth the drive?  Let us know in the comments!

Woodinville Wonderland  | Free | 23620 NE 183rd St, Woodinville | December 1st – January 1st

Woodinville Wonderland is the annual Christmas lighting display at the residence of Mark and Tracy Zembruski. Their goal is to creating Christmas memories and Holiday traditions through the wonder of lights and sound. There is something for everyone here to appreciate, with a tasteful blend of Traditional and Technical. There is a fully choreographed "show" for visitor’s entertainment as you walk around. It is a free display, but they do collect cash donations for Special Olympics of Washington and the local Northshore Wranglers SOWA team.

Keener’s Christmas Light Display | Free | 16504 112th Place, Bothell | November 27th – Dec 24th 6pm - 10pm

Over 100,000 lights and hundreds of antique and classic decorations adorn an acre and a half, featuring a 300 foot driveway that allows carloads of delighted passengers to drive through the display. Donations are collected and matched to benefit the Ben Towne Foundation, which funds pediatric cancer research, as well as Hopelink.

Snowflake Lane | Free | along Bellevue Way at the Bellevue Collection | November 25 – December 24th

Don’t miss this magical evening performance for the entire family. It’s a holiday spectacle of live toy soldier drummers, exhilarating music, animated snow characters, glittering lights all surrounded by snow falling every night at 7pm.

Warm Beach - Lights of Christmas | Fee | 20800 Marine Drive, Stanwood |December 1-4, 8-11, 15-18, 20-23, 26-28 from 5-10pm

With over one million lights, five entertainment stages, children's activities, gift shops, food and more, The Lights of Christmas is a holiday dream come true. Overnight options and Holiday Theatre are also available in this magical holiday getaway. The Lights of Christmas is the perfect holiday event for your friends, your family, and your group. Tickets range from $11-$16 per person, with children 0-3 free; December 1, 8, 27 and 28 are “pay what you can nights”.

Garden d’Lights | Fee | Bellevue Botanical Garden | November 26th – Dec 31st from 4:30 to 9pm daily

Garden d’Lights features over ½ million lights which transform the Bellevue Botanical Garden into a blossoming winter wonderland. Over 100,000 people enjoy this dazzling display each season and this year we have new visitor services buildings with all new amenities. The route has changed, grown, and become more magical than ever. Tickets are $5 per person and ages 10 and younger are free.  Free nights are Nov 28-30 and Dec 1, 5, 6, 7, 8.

Wildlights at the Zoo | Woodland Park Zoo | November 25th – January 1st (closed Dec 24th and 25th) from 5:30 - 8:30pm nightly

Seattle's wildest winter holiday lights festival is back! The favorite new holiday tradition features wild animals and wild places recreated in hundreds of thousands of sparkling LED lights. Experience amazing indoor and outdoor light displays, see a few animal friends—including visiting reindeer—have a faux-snowball fight with your family, and enjoy carolers singing the joy of the holiday season. New this year are photos with Santa! Tickets range from $7.95 - $9.95 with children 2 and under free.  Parking in zoo lots is free on WildLights event nights.

ZOOLIGHTS | Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium | Nov 25th – Jan 1st (closed Dec 24) from 5-9pm

Bundle up and stroll the Zoo as it comes aglow with more than a half-million lights. Experience a magical world of dazzling 3-D animal light displays, including a majestic polar bear family, a giant Pacific octopus, and a 17-foot tall tiger head. Prices are $8.50 per person, with discounts available at Fred Meyer.  Children 2 and younger are free and parking is free.

Christmas Ship Festival | Cruise or view from a waterfront location | Multiple dates Nov 25th – Dec 23rd

Take a ride on a Christmas Ship or a parade ship and enjoy caroling, visits with Santa and a kid’s area and more.  Tickets are free for children 3 and under and range from $17.00 to $62.00.  Or start a new tradition with your neighbors and plan to sip hot cocoa around a bonfire at a waterfront park to enjoy the floating holiday parade. Argosy Cruises is proud to donate a portion of all ticket sales to benefit The Seattle Times Fund For The Needy, an annual program that raises money for several charitable organizations in the Puget Sound area.
