Small Biz Spotlight: Introducing SNAPZ Role Play Costumes

Created by local Duvall dads!

April 16, 2015

An exciting new Northwest toy company called Snapz is looking to change the game and define the market. Snapz designs build-it-yourself, affordable, role play costumes and accessories that kids can wear all year long, indoors and out. To fuel the wearer’s imagination, a comic book is included with each costume.  The comic characters wear Snapz costumes while experiencing a gambit of adventures. Spend time with your kids and hone their engineering skills while assembling our flat-packed pieces. Through our unique sizing, each costume comes one size fits all and assembles to custom fit.

Robert and Jason, from Duvall, came up with the idea for Snapz play wear several years ago after designing and making Halloween costumes that their kids, ages 3 to 15, ended up wearing all year round. They decided to create a company to outfit their kids’ imagination.  The first line of science fiction themed play wear is available now on Kickstarter.  Snapz costumes, worn by Snapz’ offspring – aka Snaplings, wowed Emerald City Comicon attendees in Seattle last month, and was voted “most likely to dodge a bullet” by Evening Magazine.

Designs are in process for more play wear themes, including samurai and medieval role play costumes. Future expansion is planned for adult size costumes for activities such as cosplay, nerf battles and laser tag. Take a look and join the adventure!
