Owner Kristi Szilak has big plans for her new studio in Duvall; vocal lessons, piano lessons, songwriting, recording sessions at the studio, group lessons, collaborative bands, choir, and performance opportunities! She runs her studio with patience, a sense of humor, and flexibility. With this she has been able to develop proven curriculum that implements multiple methods of teaching, makes learning fun, and is able to tailor lessons to each individual. She loves to embolden and inspire her students to believe that they can do what they only dreamt of before.
Kristi began teaching in 1992 while she was in college; she quickly learned how much she truly enjoyed teaching. She enjoyed it so much that she changed her major and graduated with a BA in Human Development with a minor in music. Kristi went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in instructional design. Since beginning teaching music, Kristi has worked with students of all ages and abilities, but she specializes in working with students with learning and/or developmental differences and working with beginners.
The studio will have limited openings for lessons this fall, with more lessons opening up after the first of the year. Scholarships are available depending on need and student commitment level.
