Annie and Split Second Improv Coming to Wagner Performing Arts!

The month of December is always filled with so many activities around the area. We have lots of holiday bazaars, tree lightings, fun with Santa, holiday parties with family and friends, and holiday concerts galore. While all of this a ton of fun, it is also fun to shake things up a bit and do something different and new. The two events coming to Wagner Performing Arts Center in December are sure to bring something new and different to your holiday season!

Beginning December 1st and running 6 shows through the 9th, the charming play Annie is coming to Monroe! Brought you by Cascade Community Theater, Annie is based off of the “Little Orphan Annie” original Broadway Production directed by Martin Charnin. Cascade Community Theater describes Annie as - With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. On December 16th, Split Second Improv will be performing their season premiere at Wagner Performing Arts Center. Split Second Improv has been preforming in Redmond since 2005 and now has moved to their new in home at the Wagner Performing Arts Center in Monroe. This is a family friendly event that never is the same show twice. Every show is based on audience suggestion, so YOU can help create the show!
