Make Some Dough With Your Child's Old Clothes!

Get the details on consigning with Just Between Friends Everett/Monroe

By Melinda Larke - Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid Publisher August 2, 2018

The time has come for us to go through the kids clothes and check how much they really grew in the last year.  I don't know about you but my kids seem to grow way too fast! And then I am left with this huge pile of clothes, thinking the whole time how much I spent on this dress, or how much those shoes were, and that toy over there never gets played with anymore.  How about recycling those clothes and toys and making some money in the process?  Yes, you say?!  Sign up to consign at the upcoming Just Between Friends Everett/Monroe sale coming to Monroe beginning September 12th.

Consignor Basics

  • All JBF Everett/Monroe Consignors receive 60% on their sold items less a $10 Consignor Fee per event deducted from your final Consignor check.
  • An additional 10% can be earned (for a total of 70%) by helping out as a Team Member for at least 4 credited hours.
  • The $10 Consignor fee can waived by also helping out as a Team Member for at least 8 credited hours.
  • All Consignors get to shop early at both our Wed Presale and Fri 1/2 Price Presale Events (passes handed out during Consignor Drop-off).
  • No minimum requirement or maximum restrictions on the number of items you bring in, and items can be entered 24/7 using the online tagging system up until drop-off.
  • All clothing & accessory items must be clean - no stains, pilling, odors, excessive wear or tears.
  • Shoe soles must be in very good condition without holes or excessive wear and minimal stains/scuffing on the upper part of the shoe.
  • All non-clothing items (i.e. toys, gear, equipment, furniture, accessories, etc.) must be cleaned/wiped down, in proper working order with all parts and working batteries (if applicable). Please also check items for recalls. If there is an active recall on the item, then it must have the recall kit included in order to be sold.

What Can I Consign?

You can sell most items related to raising a family; baby equipment, maternity/nursing accessories, kid/maternity clothing, shoes, books, games, toys, furniture and much more! Just go through every space in your home and garage and you will be surprised how much you can find!  Look at what I found just in my daughter's closet!

How do I tag an item?

JBF offers several user friendly "how to" tutorials on the best way to tag items such as bedding, clothing, shoes, electronics, and items with multiple pieces. Visit your local event page to view the video tutorials. There are also people that have tagged clothes for many years and have made a business out of it. They will take your clothes, inspect them, hang them, tag them, and take it to the sale for you! Owl Tag it For You is one!

What if my items don't sell?

You have two options.  You may choose to have your items donated to a local Charity Partner, or if you prefer, you may pick up your unsold merchandise.
