The Just Between Friends Everett/Monroe Spring Sale is One Week Away!

Coming to the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe April 12th-17th

By Melinda Larke - Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid Publisher April 8, 2022

The seasons change and so do our kids! I am always hearing "Mom, these don't fit anymore!" or I am telling them the pants, shirt, etc. don't fit anymore while trying to pry their favorites off their body.  I love consignment for so many different reasons, the prices are awesome, you are helping another family to afford clothes for the new season, go on a vacation, or pay a bill, you are helping the planet by not buying new, and you can find brands and styles that your local stores may not have.  The Just Between Friends Everett/Monroe sale is the ultimate consignment sale with 20,000 square feet  of clothing and accessories to keep your children clothed, entertained, and your wallet happy! Each time I go to a Just Between Friends sale I learn something new to make my trip more and more successful.  Here are my tips for shopping smart at the Just Between Friends Everett/Monroe sale.

  • Get your tickets early!  - Seasoned shoppers know that you need to get to the sale early to get the best stuff, and those tickets can sell out quickly!  Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid has got you covered.  Click on this link and get your Prime Time Tickets.  Prime Time means best time to shop!
  • Make of list of priorities before the sale - Go through all those clothes, have the kiddos try them on and decide what you need.  If you are forgetful like me, write it all down.  Then once you get to the sale you can go straight to those areas first, and then browse the rest of the awesome sale.  I find great little treasures every time I go!  Pro Tip - have your child step on a piece of paper and trace their foot. Take that with you to the sale to make sure the shoes will fit them!
  • Find a babysitter - My daughter loves consignment sales just as much as I do, so I have never gone to these without my kids, but I can see how it would be SO much easier without them!  Kids are distracting, and shopping can be very boring for them.  Give yourself a break by not bringing them.  Take a few friends instead and make a fun day out of it!  The kids won't care that you left them after you come home with all that great stuff for them.
  • Bring a wagon or large bag - The Just Between Friends Everett/Monroe sale does have a few shopping carts that you can use, but it may be more helpful to bring your own.  You tend to find a lot of great stuff and lugging it around is not fun (I know by experience.)  It can be a large reusable bag, a laundry basket with a rope tied to it for dragging it around, an empty wagon, an empty stroller, etc.  It also helps to get your treasures to your car once you purchase them!

  • Sort Later - Once you get to the sale and start looking don't leave something on the rack that is a maybe, just take it and sort it all when you are ready to purchase your items.  If you try to go back for it later, it may be gone.  They do have sorting tables in the back that you can use and leave your no items at when you are ready.  Pro Tip - There are always more girl clothes than boy clothes! If you need to shop for a boy, go to that area first. Same for toys, if that is high on your list, go first thing.
  • Look over your items before you purchase them - The employees at Just Between Friends Everett/Monroe try really hard to look over every item that comes in to make sure they are in great, sellable condition, but we all are human and things can get missed.  As you are sorting your pile of goodies look for stains, rips, missing buttons, etc.
  • Save more money - Be sure to head back to the sale on Friday for 50% off items and/or Saturday for 75% off items!
  • Be prepared for lines and crowds - Hundreds of people go to this sale during its four day run, which means there can be times when things are crowded and lines are long.  The Just Between Friends Everett/Monroe employees have lots of manned check out stations to help ease the lines, but they can only do so much when they have a huge influx of people.  Pack your patience!
