Friday Funday in Downtown Snohomish

By Melinda Larke - Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid March 18, 2021

Welcome to downtown Snohomish!  It was a beautiful Friday afternoon and we decided to head down to downtown Snohomish to wander, check out the shops, and have some dinner.  It is something we never really do, and it was so much fun!  It was fun to do something different, shake things up a bit, and explore places you haven't been to in a while.  While it wasn't the kid's first choice for a Friday Funday, they did end up having a good time as well.  It is even better if you invite some friends to come along like we did.

Like I said it was a nice spring day, so we were definitely not the only ones with the idea to explore downtown Snohomish.  There were a lot of people on the streets, but everyone was doing really well keeping their distance from others.  I never felt unsafe.  The other great thing about downtown Snohomish is all the outside dining options.  I also saw many tents on the sidewalks for restaurants that don't normally have outside seating.  We had many choices for dinner and picked to go to Andy's Fish House.  I had never been but had heard great things.    It was a great decision.  We were able to sit out on the patio (we did get there early, about 5:00 pm,) and they have a great kid's menu with lots of options for nonfish liking kids like my own.  The adults enjoyed their meals, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

On the way back we decided to take the trail down by the river and at that time of the night, it was extra beautiful.    It was also almost empty of people, making it a better option for those who don't want to be around a lot of people right now.    That did mean that we weren't able to walk back by  Top It Yogurt Shoppe, which made me a little sad.  I have been before and it is the perfect after-dinner treat.     Snohomish is open and ready to welcome you and your family!

We will be going to a new destination for this week's Friday Funday.  Be sure to follow us on Instagram to see where we will be!

Keep finding your family fun -
