These are the programs that are offered:
Just for Two's-
This program is a parent-toddler program designed to introduce little ones to a classroom environment as a transition to preschool. A parent or guardian participate with their child during the 1 1/2 hour class which meets once a week. The curricular goals of this program are: to introduce cognitive concepts, develop large and fine motor skills, to learn social skills while playing with other children, make new friends, enjoy art projects, and see that learning is fun!
Preschool Class-
The Little Doves Preschool is an exciting exploration into learning for three and four olds that provides stimulating large and small muscle development, reading, creative and fantasy play, exploring art, music, math, science, and phonics.
Learning to read, spell and write should be painless and stress-free. Zoo-Phonics Reading Program is utilized by Little Doves in the preschool class to create a joyful learning environment.
Pre-Kindergarten Class-
The Pre-K program at Little Doves is specifically designed to OVER prepare children for Kindergarten. The program is strategically comprehensive in its teaching goals and excellence. The curriculum includes: math, pre-reading activities, phonics learning through the Zoo-Phonics Reading Program, science, art with a focus on self-expression, music, and health. Spanish class is taught weekly to give the children the opportunity to learn a different language.
Advanced Pre-Kindergarten-
Little Doves has an excellent Advanced Pre-K program with a low teacher/student ratio of 1 to 8, a strong academic curriculum, and a bilingual teacher with a Master's Degree. It offers a nurturing Christian environment with one on one teaching, phonic based language arts curriculum, a Scott Foresman math curriculum, and Spanish lessons. These combined with art, music, free play, and outdoor recreation create a very balanced and highly regarded program with a high success rate.
